Welcome to madamespeaksfrench.com. By booking a lesson with us, you agree to the following terms.
Who we are
Madame Speaks French is operated by Alice Vigneron, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Our services
We provide online French language lessons for adults, delivered via video call. Lessons are personalized based on the student’s level and goals.
Booking a lesson
Lessons are booked through our online booking form. Once you book a lesson, you’ll receive confirmation of the date and time, along with details on how to join the video call.
Payment
Payment is currently made via a Revolut payment link, sent to you after booking. Full payment is expected before the lesson takes place, unless otherwise agreed.
(We may introduce additional payment methods in the future. This section will be updated accordingly.)
Cancellations and rescheduling
We understand that plans change. Here’s how it works:
- 24 hours’ notice or more: You may cancel or reschedule your lesson free of charge.
- Less than 24 hours’ notice: The lesson may be charged in full, since the time slot could not be offered to another student.
- No-shows: If you do not attend a scheduled lesson without notice, it will be treated as a late cancellation and charged in full.
If we need to cancel or reschedule a lesson on our end (illness, emergency, etc.), we will notify you as soon as possible and offer a new time slot or a full refund for that lesson.
Lesson conduct
- Please join lessons on time and in a quiet environment where possible, to make the most of your session.
- Lessons are intended for respectful, constructive learning. We reserve the right to end a lesson early or decline future bookings in cases of abusive or inappropriate behavior.
Intellectual property
Any teaching materials, exercises, or resources shared with you during lessons are for your personal learning use only. Please don’t redistribute, resell, or publish them without permission.
Limitation of liability
We do our best to provide high-quality, personalized French lessons, but we cannot guarantee specific learning outcomes, as progress depends on many individual factors (practice, consistency, prior experience, etc.).
We are not liable for technical issues (internet connectivity, video call platform outages, etc.) beyond our reasonable control that may affect a lesson. In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example as our services or payment options evolve. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “last updated” date. Continuing to book lessons after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be handled under Dutch jurisdiction.
